Nadege and Fred, both from France, but living in beautiful South Africa now had very special and unique wedding in Prince Albert over the weekend. It all started on the Friday with a 'spit braai' on the farm Drie Riviere where the guests (most from France) got to experience typical South African food.
Their Celtic ceremony was in the magnificent Swartberg Pass just outside Prince Albert followed by cocktails and receptions in the veld on the farm Abrahams Kraal Farm Lodge. Every little detail was perfectly planned and Nadege and Fred was absolute rock stars in front of the camera.
I on the other hand had a couple of 'oh sh....t!!' moments with my one camera falling off the lens and bouncing like a tennis ball over the Karoo rocks just as Nadege arrived at the ceremony - Luckily the very expensive lens was still attached to me and the camera still seem to work just fine. In fact that camera used to freeze up (err99) every now and again and haven't done it since the tumble..... I think I've figured out what happened and it was truly a 1 in a million moment (I do have 4 camera bodies so there's always a backup). Oh, and on my way to the reception I got a flat tyre and it's no fun changing a dusty 60 pound Land Rover wheel on a dirt road wearing a white shirt.
In a nutshell - Awesome venue, great food, DJ Rene rocking 80 crazy (mostly French) people till the early hours of the morning all in celebration of the marriage of a truly beautiful couple.
Sunday brunch was next to the pool at the Swartberg Hotel in Town.
....enjoy!!
